Patricia Bando, associate vice president of auxiliary services at Boston College, has been selected as chairman of the board for the Massachusetts Restaurant Association, whose 1,750 members represent 5,500 eating and drinking establishments in the state. Named the group’s Food Service Operator of the Year last year, Bando says she will seek to expand the organization’s membership while continuing its mission of providing resources, government advocacy, networking and educational opportunities and cost-saving programs.

Bando was named director of dining services at Boston College in 1995 and moved up to her current title in 2004.
