In the preseason, the University of Kansas’ men’s basketball team has been ranked No. 1. While time will tell if that holds true throughout the season, the game-time food selection is shaping up to be second to none.

“We are thrilled to tip off the 70th basketball season with KU and their dedicated fans in the newly transformed Allen Fieldhouse,” said Ken Gaber, president of OVG Hospitality, KU’s food and beverage partner at the fieldhouse, which has indeed gotten some upgrades, including a new onsite kitchen that allows for nearly double the number of points of sale for basketball eats.

OVG (Oak View Group) Hospitality is a Denver-based foodservice/venue management player that manages arena, stadium, theaters, convention centers and more around the world. OVG commits to local communities through selecting local flavors and highlighting products from regional companies. For KU, that means local businesses like McLain’s Bakery, Farm-to-Market, Fabulous Fish, Kuna Meats, Cozzini Bros., Krystal Creations and Regal KC will all be represented at the fieldhouse. Check out a few highlights of the new menu for 2024-25 Kansas basketball games.
