As finals week kicks into high gear at colleges across the country, foodservice operators are offering fervent studiers a reprieve—and a bit of brain food.

Here are a few events being hosted on campuses this week:

Brain boost

Loyola University Maryland in Baltimore is offering a special “brain booster” lunch menu in its Boulder Garden Cafe on Tuesday. The lunch will feature items such as fatty fish, greens, berries and seeds.

A bevy of options

Florida State University is serving up a week of activities, offering students of the Tallahassee, Fla., school a “Stranger Things”-themed breakfast on Tuesday night, a build-your-own cocoa event during breakfast on Thursday and a build-your-own stir-fry event on Friday, among others.

Survival stuff

In addition to hosting a midnight breakfast on Tuesday, University of Illinois at Chicago Dining Services is selling a Finals Survival Kit, which contains items such as a pen, highlighter, Post-Its, instant coffee, a snack bar and coupons.

Study snacks

Elon University Dining Services will be operating its #CRAMcart snack cart throughout the Elon, N.C., campus to help fuel students’ study sessions, while The Gathering Place at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind., will be giving out free cereal Monday through Thursday from 8-11 p.m.
