Missouri Valley College will see a number of changes to its dining hall and student dining options this year with the arrival of the College’s new food service management company, Fresh Ideas.

Fresh Ideas is a food service management company whose market concentration focuses on academic institutions. The switch to the Columbia, Missouri based company happened in July. Fresh Ideas’ Be Green, Be Healthy, Be Bold programs encourage students to feed their minds and fuel their bodies with an integrated approach to wellness.

Fresh Ideas’, Craig Rich will serve as the director of dining services at MVC. Rich has over 25 years of successful management experience in the hospitality industry, developing and maintaining excellent client and customer relations.

Rich said students can look forward to a number of changes when they return to campus.

“Food should be fun and an extension of the college experience. I believe we’ve put together a program that takes care of the students and adds excitement to the dining program,” Rich said. “The Fresh & Go option and the utilization of the Malcolm Center Bistro area will be key to providing students additional dining venues.”

Eron Baker, who will serve as chef, brings several years of successful culinary experience within the hospitality industry. Chef Baker has demonstrated expertise in many industry settings including hotels, restaurants and health care.
