CBORD Honors Operators
December 17, 2012
The CBORD Group, Inc., has recognized two onsite dining organizations and one individual for outstanding achievements throughout this year during its 33rd annual User Group Conference in Atlanta in mid-October. One CBORD Award went to the University of Michigan Residential Dining Services, which integrates CBORD’s solutions across its campus to improve operating efficiency and simultaneously increase customer satisfaction. The site features integrated CBORD software and hardware solutions for dining, housing, campus ID/privilege card, access control, catering, and nutrition education, as well as other capabilities. Combined, these systems empower the university to better serve its students through faster, automated processes and more accurate information.
Above and Beyond Award went to Greenville Hospital System Nutrition Systems Coordinator Kimberlee Davis, RD LD, who was recognized for her contributions to the nutrition services community. Thanks to her leadership, Greenville Hospital System now uses mobile tablets at the patient bedside to improve patient experience, and ultimately patient satisfaction with hospital services.
Ms. Davis' vision for an enhanced patient meal ordering experience helped pave the way for CBORD's Room Service Choice™, a new web-based, mobile meal ordering software application designed for staff-assisted entry of meal orders using an iPad or Android tablet.
The Visionary Award went to Miami University of Ohio for improving the safety and convenience of its more than 16,000 students in a record-setting installation timetable. The university recently implemented CBORD's CS Access solution together with more than 4,200 online electronic locks, all in a 90-day timeframe. Powerful text-messaging features such as “Open MyDoor” (for residence hall room access) and “MasterKey” (for temporary privilege elevation) allows students and staff to manage access control from the convenience of their phones.
