Buffalo State College will begin a $7.3 million capital project this summer to renovate and expand dining services in its student union, reports Buffalo Business First. The improvements, apparently the first upgrade since the facility was built in the 1960s, will start with the addition of an 11,000-sq.ft., 400-seat retail food court operation, due for completion next January. Once that is done, the second phase, renovation of the existing 11,000-sq.ft. resident dining facility, will commence, with touches like the addition of a pizza oven and other improvements designed to replace the current steamtable approach with a made-to-order emphasis. Completion of the second phase is set for September 2008.
