Black Hills (SD) State University plans to outsource its dining services to A’viands as it goes forward with plans for a major renovation of its student union, including a new dining services area. The move was recommended by a task force that reviewed five proposals from outside vendors as well as from the currently self-operated dining services. The change becomes effective at the end of July, when employees of dining services will become employees of A’viands. BHSU had been the only state university in South Dakota not to outsource its dining operations.
