Aladdin brings New Orleans inspired restaurant brands to community college

Additions to the Pearl River Community College dining mix include PJ’s Coffee and WOW American Eats.

Aladdin Campus Dining is bringing a pair of New Orleans-inspired brands to Pearl River Community College (PRCC) with the opening of outlets of PJ’s Coffee and WOW American Eats on the school’s campus in Poplarville, Miss. Students, faculty and members of the Mississippi community celebrated the additions with a grand opening held Tuesday, Nov. 14th.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled and proud to bring two exemplary Louisiana-based concepts to the heart of our campus,” said PRCC President Adam Breerwood. “We’re thankful to our dining partner Aladdin Campus Dining, along with Ballard Brands for working with us to help provide our hardworking Wildcats the opportunity to enjoy great flavors and the convenience of these beloved brands right here on our grounds.”

Founded by coffee industry pioneer Phyllis Jordan, PJ’s Coffee serves a wide variety of hot, iced and frozen coffee beverages using high quality Arabica coffee beans, as well as organic tea and fresh breakfast pastries. It has been owned and operated since 2008 by privately held hospitality and food service company Ballard Brands, which also founded WOW American Eats in 2001. The concept seeks to go beyond the typical fast dining experience by adding a modern twist to favorite American dishes and recipes. With its award-winning signature sauces and made-from-scratch spice rubs, WOW has won “Best Wings in New Orleans” honors eight years in a row.

Both locations will operate weekdays between 7:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. and Sundays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
