A tour of Duke's new East Union Marketplace

Duke University is in the midst of a major upgrade of its campus dining infrastructure. One of the highlights finished so far is a complete renovation of the East Union Marketplace, a traditional all-you-care-to-eat (AYCTE) residential dining facility that not only has seen its facilities upgraded for the first time in two decades but is also now AYCTE only at two meal periods and a la carte at the third.

The upgrade includes adding a second seating level, more natural light and a number of new food stations with to-order prep.
