BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C.—Brunswick County students are getting some help from school officials in the form of food.

Brunswick County Schools unveiled a new program Tuesday called the Hungry Tummy Café, which is a bus that brings food to the students.

"Yummy was a dream, and it's really fitted for the kids," Tina Ward, Brunswick County Schools Nutrition Director, said about The Hungry Tummy Café also known as Yummy. "There are tables on there, where they can get on and sit down and have a nice meal and enjoy it."

Ward said the bus will better help the students in need. More than 60 percent of students are food insecure, so when school is out, a lot of them don't know where their next meal is coming from.
