SFM Announces 2013 Directors Award Winners

SFM has announced its 2013 Directors' Awards winners except for the recipients of its President's Award and Pacifico Award.

The Society for Foodservice Management (SFM) has announced the winners of its 2013 Directors' Awards except for the recipients of the President's Award and Pacifico Award. These will be announced and presented at the President's Banquet during the group's national conference on October 2 in Bonita Springs, FL (for more info or to register, go to sfm-online.org/2013conference).

Here are the other award winners…

Community Service Award: Dick Hynes, director of consultant services for Hobart-Traulsen.
This award is given to the SFM Member that has gone above and beyond to help support the onsite foodservice industry, as well as their local community. 

Spirit Award: Genevieve Stona, director of joint ventures for Thompson Hospitality.
This award is presented to an individual who consistently demonstrates the qualities of loyalty, dedication and enthusiasm for the Society. 

Leadership Award: Barbara Kane, vice president of industry relations for Ecolab Inc.
This award recognizes an individual whose work on behalf of SFM and the onsite foodservice industry has resulted in the demonstration of outstanding leadership qualities. 

Richard Ysmael Distinguished Service Award: Kathy Sanders, vice president of corporate properties & strategic sourcing for Wells Fargo.
This award recognizes an individual who has been diligent in his or her service to onsite foodservice and who has consistently shown dedication, support and leadership to the Society. This special award is named for its first recipient, Richard Ysmael. 

Lifetime Achievement Award: Ron Ehrhardt, FMP, vice president of operational safety for Compass Group.
This award recognizes a lifetime of contributions and service to the onsite foodservice industry.
