A turkey sandwich is a simple item, but we changed up some of the ingredients to make it stand out. We layer sliced apples and fresh roasted turkey on toasted ciabatta bread. We used arugula at first but it wasn’t well received, so we swapped it for lettuce. The patients love it, but since we’re a short-term facility, it was important to make the sandwich a staff favorite, too…and it is!
