DEVELOPING MENUS
We created Dietitian's Dish to promote healthy meals for each meal period in the dining hall. Each meal is hand-chosen by the NC State Dining nutrition team, satisfying all five food groups. The nutrition team also sets up an interactive table in Fountain Dining Hall at lunch each day, serving to educate students on the importance of eating from all five food groups and looking toward an “example” meal for inspiration. As an incentive, if the student creates a healthy meal and posts a photo on social media, a variety of prizes are offered. The Dietitian’s Dish is posted monthly on the dining website for students, faculty, staff and the general public to access.
