The Montefiore foodservice team is working with its on-site cardiologists to increase plant-based options, starting with Meatless Mondays for patients and expanding to plant-based options in cafeterias throughout all campuses by the end of 2017. New food education initiatives are also in the works, such as cooking demos in the cafeteria focusing on topics such as organic produce or healthy oils.
