Restaurant Associates operates eight outlets for the House of Representatives around the U.S. Capitol. They are…

In the U.S. Capitol

  • Members Dining Room is a sit-down restaurant for House members and their guests only. It offers a standard menu (including the famous House Bean Soup) and weekly specials that include themed selections from each of the 50 states on a rotating basis. For example, a recent menu celebrating Georgia included Georgia Peanut Soup; Double-Cut Pork Chop with Sweet Potato, White Bean and Vidalia Onion Ragout and Peach-Ginger Chutney; and Georgia Peach Cobbler.

  • Capitol Market, located in the basement of the U.S. Capitol, offers a couple of daily entree selections and sides as well as soups (the House White Bean Soup is on the menu every day), specialty salads and sandwiches.

In the Longworth Office Building

  • Longworth Café is a full-sized food court type dining venue. It features a range of selections from barbecue and made-to-order gourmet wraps to sizzling salads and a rotating international selection highlighting a different cuisine each day from a list of 20 countries. Longworth Café is also a favorite meeting spot where members, staffers and interested parties can discuss matters over Fair Trade coffee and specialty “mini-desserts”.

  • The Creamery specializes in hand-dipped locally produced ice cream treats, fresh-from-the-oven desserts and Starbucks coffees — as well as locally made artisan candy.

  • Goodie's, located next to the Creamery, is a snack shop featuring candies, beverages and packaged snacks.

In the Rayburn Office Building

  • Rayburn Café is a favorite with visitors. It features a circular serving area producing noodle bowls, specialty sandwiches, American Melts, a carvery with different sliced meats each day and a rotating action station that serves various ethnic dishes, from tacqueria to teriyaki.

  • Rayburn Deli offers hot-pressed and customized deli sandwiches, salads, flatbreads, specialty sausages along with Starbucks Fair Trade coffees and frozen yogurt treats highlight this quick meal stop.

In the Cannon Office Building

  • Cannon Café has a burger bar, sandwiches and a “6 Subs” selection of specialty hot and cold submarine sandwiches.
