Texas A&M contracts with Compass Group for foodservice
Contract worth $260 million in extra revenue and cost savings over the next 10 years.

June 22—After four months of deliberation Texas A&M University announced that it will hire N.C.-based Compass Group North America to manage its dining, landscaping, building maintenance and janitorial services.
The contract is reportedly worth $260 million in extra revenue and cost savings over the next 10 years, Texas A&M System Chancellor John Sharp said. Compass The will pay the university $45 million in the next 30 to 45 days and will invest another $30 million renovating campus dining facilities, Sharp said. The company plans to keep all university employees in their jobs.
