Spurs Sports & Entertainment and Aramark, the concessionaire at the AT&T Center arena in San Antonio where the NBA's San Antonio Spurs play their home games, are teaming up with St. Vincent de Paul to donate prepared but unsold concession food to St Vinny's Bistro at Haven for Hope, a local non-profit organization dealing with the homeless.

Following every event held at the AT&T Center that sells concession food, all unsold hot dogs and pretzels will be packed up and for St Vinnys Bistro. St. Vincent de Paul will prepare the food to be served to the clients at Prospects Courtyard on the Haven for Hope campus.

"This is a terrific opportunity for us to improve the quality of life for people in our community,” says Spurs Sports & Entertainment President of Business Operations Rick Pych. “We are taking the same great food we serve at the AT&T Center, and together with our partners, serving it to kids, adults and families that truly need a quality meal.”

The AT&T Center hosted 135 events in 2010, showing the potential for the partnership with St. Vincent de Paul and Haven for Hope.

“We are proud to play a role in the fight against poverty, and this is an opportunity for us to provide food for a lot of people who are hungry,” says Tim Witkowski, Aramark's general manager at the AT&T Center.
