Sodexo taps Lorna Donatone to oversee North American operations

She will also head the contractor’s school-feeding operations worldwide.

Sodexo has named Lorna Donatone to oversee all of its foodservice vendor’s contract-feeding businesses in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico and its school-feeding operations worldwide.

In her new role as region chair, Donatone is responsible for a variety of segments in North America, where she previously oversaw only U.S. school contracts. Now her oversight extends to universities, hospitals and business-and-industry operations, which collectively employ 133,000 employees.

As CEO of schools worldwide, she is responsible for more than 3,500 client sites in 42 countries.

Donatone has been with Sodexo since 1999.  Most recently she served as chief operating officer and president of Sodexo Education in the U.S., responsible for more than 850 college and university campuses and 500 school districts, overseeing more than 70,000 employees, according to a release.
