Sodexo's Kitabwalla Honored By NRA

April 16—Husein Kitabwalla, senior vice president of Sodexo's Retail Brand Group has been named a national finalist for the National Restaurant Association's 2009 Dream Award. The award honors individuals who come from diverse backgrounds who have worked hard to achieve the American dream. Kitabwalla a native of Kenya who is now a naturalized U.S. citizen, has worked at Sodexo for 10 years. In his current role, he oversees the development of fast-casual restaurants at colleges, hospitals and B&I locations.

"Husein walks through life with a passion for what he does, confidently striving for success for the teams he leads and paving a way for those who will come after," Lorna Donatone, president of Sodexo School Services and NRA board member, said in a press release. "His life achievements can inspire all aspiring restaurant professionals as a living example of the American dream."

The finalists were to be recognized and the winner of the Dream Award announced on May 17 during the NRA Show in Chicago.
