Sodexo has appointed Olivier Poirot senior vice president and CFO to lead the finance and risk management functions supporting the company's North American business. He joined Sodexo last October from Accor North America, where he served as CEO for the company's operations in the U.S. Canada and Mexico, overseeing a portfolio that included more than 1,100 Sofitel, Novotel, Studio 6, Motel 6 and Ibis properties. Before assuming the role of CEO in 2007, Poirot served as Accor North America's CFO for four years and was responsible for concluding its $1.3 billion sale of Red Roof Inn.

Poirot succeeds Debbie White, who has been named CEO for Sodexo UK and Ireland.

"We are extremely pleased that Olivier has joined our senior executive team," says Sodexo President/CEO George Chavel. "With his depth of experience from another global, industry-leading, world-class company, he has enabled a seamless transition and is positioned perfectly to provide strong financial leadership during this important time of growth for our company."
