Sodexo’s new iPhone apps will allow customers to preorder and -pay for selections.

Sodexo has launched mobile apps designed to eliminate wait times, increase customer engagement and build brand loyalty for Jazzman's Café & Bakery and SubConnection, two of the company's Retail Brand Group concepts.

The apps, currently available for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, are available for free download in Apple's iTunes store.

Both apps have launched at Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA, and the Jazzman's app has launched at Lycoming (PA) College. The Jazzman's app will also soon be available at University of Evansville (IN), and the SubConnection app at Methodist College in Fayetteville, NC.

The app allows customers not only to place orders, but also pay for them. “All you have to do is pick it up,” says Rick Bollar, vice president of digital strategy for Sodexo. “It's an incredible time saver to skip the cash register — people appreciate the one stop shop and that's what creating a great customer experience through technology is all about.”

The mobile apps as well as other e-commerce efforts are part of Sodexo's miExperience technology solutions initiative. The Retail Brand Group includes a portfolio of fast-casual restaurant brands with 550 locations throughout the U.S
