Sodexo lands major hospital contract

Deal with Cleveland Clinic adds major healthcare client to portfolio.

The Cleveland Clinic has engaged Sodexo to operate onsite dining services at its main campus and adjacent children’s hospital, reports Crain’s Cleveland Business. Aramark will continue to service the Clinic’s eight regional hospitals and Florida operations.

The main Cleveland Clinic hospital is licensed for 1,267 beds, making it one of the 20 largest hospitals in the nation by that metric. The facility has five independently operated cafes as well as a number of smaller retail outlets.

Sodexo also operates onsite dining at Cleveland’s other major hospital facility, the 1,032-licensed bed University Hospitals Case Medical Center.

The contract at the Cleveland Clinic is scheduled to commence on October 17, 2015 according to Crain’s.
