Aug. 4—Sodexo will sponsor the National Job Corps Association’s 45th Anniversary Event to be held Sept. 23.

The nationwide event, Job Corps Day: 45 Years of Building Lives and Launching Careers, will include events in Washington, D.C. and 122 additional cities across the country that have a Job Corps Center. The celebration will focus on the nearly three million young people the association has helped during the past 45 years. Sodexo provides foodservices to five Job Corp sites and also recently participated in the annual Jobs Corps Culinary Expo, an event where young people had the opportunity to demonstrate culinary skills they received from Job Corps training to potential employers.

“Partnering with Job Corps once again is a great honor, just as it is an honor to hire the young talent that they train,” Greg Verone, president of Sodexo’s Government Services, said in a press release. “We are pleased to be a part of this milestone event and value their commitment to making every day a better day by serving our nation’s youth for 45 years.”
