Lessing’s, a food service and hospitality company based on Long Island in New York, has acquired the foodservice division of Next Generation Vending and Food Service of Canton, MA. With the acquisition, the privately-held company will add nearly 80 college and B&I accounts throughout Upstate New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island to its portfolio.

“It is important to us to continue to grow, expand into new markets, and continue to provide first class service to our current clients and those coming aboard with this strategic acquisition," says Lessing's COO Michael Lessing.

“We have always been proud of our excellent service but we have chosen to refocus our organization solely on vending services," says Next Generation Vending COO Joe Rogan. "With Lessing’s, the customers will continue to enjoy great food and service, operated by a well-respected hospitality company.”

Lessing's has three business lines—food service management, restaurants and catering—and operates in over 120 locations, including eight full-service restaurants and a hotel.
