New CEO at Centerplate

Centerplate, Inc., has named Desmond Hague president/CEO, succeeding Janet Steinmayer, who has resigned. Hague most recently served as president of IHOP Restaurants. Previously, he was president of Safeway Inc.’s foodservice division, CEO of Hot Stuff Foods and had other management positions with 7-Eleven Stores, Pizza Hut and Whitbread PLC.

Steinmayer joined the company, then known as Volume Services, in 1993. She was named president/CEO in March 2006 and saw Centerplate through its recent acquisition by equity firm Kohlberg & Co., LLC.
