Metz Culinary Management recently gave college students some delicious downtime during finals week with a Cheese Steaks, Milkshakes, and Pancakes promotion. The company served hundreds of students at Misericordia University, Lebanon Valley College, Gannon University, the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville and Lake Erie College.
“This is a perfect example of what Metz will do to engage students and show them gratitude for our partnership,” says Bill Allman, Metz General Manager at Lebanon Valley College. “We are always looking to find ways to be creative and interact with our partners and guests and a fun event like this is perfect for alleviating some of the stress associated with finals week.”
The Cheese Steaks, Milkshakes, and Pancakes promotion at Lebanon Valley's dining hall took place from 9:00 to 10:00 p.m on May 8. About 300 students were expected to participate, but over 450 lined-up at the door craving a late night snack. According to Allman, the event inspired a positive, fun, and festive atmosphere—a perfect break from the stress of finals week.
Misericordia held the late-night promotion during the entire finals week, drawing 300 students to its Cougar’s Den retail facility where a variety of options were offered, including beef and chicken cheese steaks, chocolate pancakes and 10 milkshake flavors.
“We had a great response from the students,” says Mike Raub, Metz Retail Manager at Misericordia. “Even our faculty and staff enjoyed seeing something so completely different than what we normally do—it really showed that we are willing to go that extra mile for our students.”
