Metz Culinary Services has added Hillsbourgh Community College, Polk State College and New College of Florida to its higher education segment client roll in the Sunshine State, joining existing client Florida A&M University, where it began managing dining services this past January.

“The announcement is indicative of Metz Culinary Management’s dedication to bringing exceptional dining services to higher education partners in the state of Florida,” says Jack Brill, VP of Business Development for Metz’ Sarasota-based Southern Division Corporate Office. “In less than a year, Florida A&M University is already benefiting from our new partnership and we look forward to leveraging our industry experience and extensive brand relationships to improving dining services at Hillsbourgh Community College, Polk State College and New College.”

The three new clients have a cumulative student population of more than 68,000.

Polk signed a five-year agreement while Hillsbourgh and New College inked 10-year deals. Each university has the option of renewing for an additional five years.

Metz has already begun to provide dining services to three of Hillsbourgh’s five primary campuses and on July 1, it launched foodservice operations Polk. Metz is currently remolding the food court at New College, which will include the new Market St. Café, Bravo and J. Clarkes Grill eateries.

Hillsbourgh is a two-year community college with five primary campuses and more than 43,000 students in the Tampa area. Polk, with more than 20,000 students, has multiple campuses with locations in Lake Wales, Winter Haven, Barow and Lakeland. It also operates three charter high schools. New College of Florida, a public college known as Florida’s “honors college for the liberal arts,” enrolls more than 5,000 students.
