The New York Mets and concessionaire Aramark have announced a partnership with Zachys Wine & Liquor, Inc., to design a premium wine program for Citi Field, the Mets’ new ballpark, which opens in April. One of New York’s oldest and best-known wine merchants, Zachys will provide the Mets and Aramark with overall direction in selecting fine wine from around the world to complement the food offered in Citi Field‘s premium dining areas, including suites, lounges and restaurants.

The announcement is the latest in a series of guest experience initiatives that also includes a joint business venture to create a year-round hospitality destination for non-gameday events at Citi Field, designed to host corporate meetings, receptions, private parties, trade shows, weddings, and a variety of other events. Also, past July, the Mets and Aramark announced a partnership with Danny Meyer’s Hudson Yards to install existing concepts such as Blue Smoke and Shake Shack, as well as two new concepts, El Verano Taquería and Box Frites, a Belgian-style frites stand, at Citi Field. Hudson Yards also played a significant role in the design and conceptualization of Citi Field’s Delta Sky360 Club and will manage the dining offerings for this premium club area adjacent to the 1,600 seats located closest to home plate on the Field Level.
