Major League Baseball’s Washington Nationals has awarded Centerplate the exclusive contract to oversee culinary and merchandising operations at its new 41,000-seat Nationals Park, scheduled to open next spring. Centerplate replaces Aramark, which holds the concessions contract at the team’s current home, RFK Stadium. Centerplate already runs concessions in six other major league ballparks: Yankee Stadium in New York, AT&T Park in San Francisco, Safeco Field in Seattle, Kaufmann Stadium in Kansas City, the Metrodome in Minneapolis and Tropicana Field in Tampa Bay.
