LAX Awards Concessions Contracts

Delaware North Travel Hospitality Services and Marbella Food Services have been awarded a contract by the Los Angeles City Council to operate foodservice outlets in two terminals at Los Angeles International Airport. The companies will open Skewers, a restaurant concept developed by celebrity chef Masaharu Morimoto in Terminal 5, and a Wolfgang Puck Express in Terminal 7 by mid to late 2011.

Also receiving a foodservice contract was Areas USA, which will open a variety of restaurants at the airport, including Sammy's Woodfired Pizza, Homegirl Cafe, local steakhouse concept Engine Co. 28 and gastropub concept Ford's Filling Station. Homegirl Cafe is a concept developed by Los Angeles-based Homeboy Industries, a social service enterprise that focuses on assisting former gang members integrate back into mainstream society through involvement with legitimate businesses.
