Aramark has announced that Andrew Kerin has been named president of the management company's U.S. food, hospitality and facilities businesses, effective immediately. Previously, Kerin had headed Aramark's domestic healthcare, facilities and education units while Jack Donovan was responsible for the business and sports/entertainment units. Donovan has left the company to pursue other opportunities, according to an Aramark spokesperson, and his responsibilities have been consolidated under Kerin's leadership. Ravi Saligram continues as president of international food and support services while Thomas Vozzo remains president of the uniform and career apparel business.
Kerin had been named president of the healthcare, facilities and education units at the end of 2003 in the management restructuring following the resignation of John Zillmer as president of Aramark Food & Support Services. He had been president of the facilities and healthcare units under Zillmer.
Kerin originally joined Aramark in 1995 as vice president of facility support services and was named president of that unit in 1999. He later also served as president of correctional services. Then in 2002, he was appointed president of a greatly expanded facilities services unit following Aramark's acquisition of ServiceMaster's Management Services Business. (That acquisition added some 1,500 healthcare facility management contracts and $750 million in annual revenues to Aramark's facilities portfolio.)
Prior to joining Aramark, Kerin was a vice president with Ogden Corp., where his responsibilities included leadership of the company's education business and strategic planning for the facility services division throughout the US and Canada.
The 42-year-old Kerin is a 1985 graduate of Fordham University.
