Guckenheimer Enterprises, Inc., is expanding its business into new culinary ventures and partnerships with the building of a $1 million brand new commissary kitchen in South San Francisco, slated to open July 1. The Redwood Shores, CA-based foodservice management company operates at more than 300 corporate dining facilities in 28 states.

“We’re very excited about this new development that will help us expand our business and reinforce Guckenheimer’s position as a culinary leader in the foodservice industry,” say President/CFO Joe Alouf.

“The new commissary will serve not only as a test kitchen and an exciting venue for training and demonstrations, it will also enable us to handle high-end, off-site private catering events," adds Corporate Executive Chef Arturo Zarate. "Perhaps most important of all, we will be able to implement a lot of new ideas we’ve been developing such as our Food Truck Concept.”

The company says the new commissary will also provide much needed space to service existing clients.
