Tim Cost, formerly vice president of corporate affairs for Aramark and later executive vice president of Global Corporate Affairs for PepsiCo, has been named president of Jacksonville University. Cost is a 1981 alumnus of the school, earning a BS. He also has an MBA from the William E. Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester.

Cost joined Aramark in 2003 and was responsible for all of the company's global external and internal communications, including financial and media relations, government affairs/public policy, employee communications, corporate philanthropy/community relations and marketing communications. He reported directly to then-Chairman/CEO Joseph Neubauer.

As an undergraduate at JU, Cost was a four-year letterman on the university's varsity baseball team and pitched a no-hitter in his freshman year.
