Flint Schools Contract With Sodexo Magic
Partnership between Sodexo and Magic Johnson's firm will take over management of Flint Schools previously self-operated dining services on July 1.

The Flint, MI, Board of Education has approved a $3.36 million contact with Sodexo MAGIC to operate food services in the district's schools, reports the Flint Journal. The company is a joint venture between Sodexo Education Services and former NBA superstar Earvin "Magic" Johnson, who is the majority partner with 51% of the stock. Sodexo Magic, which will take over management of Flint Schools previously self-operated dining services on July 1, was engaged to help the district reduce a $10.4 million deficit.
