Emory University has selected Bon Appétit Management Co. to operate its dining services at both the Atlanta and Oxford campuses beginning June 1. Bon Appetit operates more than 500 cafés, primarily in higher education and corporate venues, in 32 states. The contract is the result of an RFP issued last October.

In making the announcement, the school emphasized that no hourly employees would lose their jobs in the transition from Sodexo and that meal plan rates would not increase as a result of the change, though modest annual increases on the scale of the recent past may continue. Emory says it also expects some food venue updates and changes once Bon Appetit takes over.
