Compass Group has made a pair of acquisitions through two of its subsidiaries. It acquired Coffee Distributing Corp., which it describes as "the largest office coffee and refreshment service company in the New York, New Jersey and the Connecticut area" through its Canteen Vending Services subsidiary. The other deal involved BW HLS Holdings, Inc., an Illinois-based support services provider to the healthcare segment in the central U.S., which was acquired through the Crothall Services Group unit.

Coffee Distributing had annual sales of $63.5 million in 2009 while BW HLS's revenues totaled $48 million in fiscal 2010.
