Compass Group has launched Be a Flexitarian, a company-wide program that emphasizes meatless dining options to diners at the company’s 8,500 dining sites in business, healthcare and education venues. “Flexitarians” are individuals who integrate meatless meals into their diets but are not full-time vegetarians. As part of the program, Compass sites will showcase meatless items like veggie burgers, burritos, pastas and stir frys, many using meat substitutes.

"Compass Group is committed to providing healthy meals and building sustainable communities, and our new flexitarian initiative is a great step toward achieving both of these goals," says Cheryl Queen, Compass Group vice president of corporate communications. "We're delighted to have this opportunity to highlight the culinary versatility of meat-free foods that promote better health and preserve the environment."
