Compass Canada Acquires Nova

Compass Group Canada has acquired the assets of Nova Services Group Inc., a Toronto based dietary, environmental and janitorial services company. With the deal, Nova becomes a member of Compass Canada though will continue to operate under the Nova Services brand name.

"Nova's reputation of service excellence coupled with their strong presence in long term care, senior living and support services will provide Compass Group Canada with a solid foothold in these growing markets," says Compass Canada/ESS North America CEO Saajid Khan. "Following on the heels of our 2010 acquisition of The Hurley Group and the 2011 acquisition of Marquise Group, Compass Group Canada is set for continued growth in these markets."

Nova's executive team members, A.E. (Tony) Simas, Luis Amaro and Victor Rodrigues will be retained by Compass Canada to ensure a smooth transition.
