After solely working with Aramark for only about two years, the Cleveland Clinic has tapped a new food services contractor — Sodexo — for its main campus and children’s hospital.

The switchover, which begins Oct. 17, to Gaithersburg, Md.-based Sodexo is to better accommodate the specialized dietary needs of patients at its main hospital and children’s hospital. In an email, Clinic spokeswoman Heather Phillips said, “Patients at our main campus are the most critically ill and they have highly specialized dietary needs which require a more complicated food services operation.”
