Centerplate has reached an agreement to provide food and beverage concessions services at the University of Kansas athletics complex, which includes Kansas football's 50,000-seat Memorial Stadium and Allen Fieldhouse, home of the school’s championship men's basketball team. As part of its services, Centerplate will upgrade concession stands and service carts, and introduce new menu concepts at the U-Kansas facilities. The new menus will celebrate the university's athletic icons, with concepts including the Rock Chalk Grill and Phog's Fieldhouse Favorites--named after the distinctive Rock Chalk chant and Kansas legendary "Phog" Allen Fieldhouse.

The deal follows similar agreements between Centerplate and the University of Louisville and the University of Alabama. Earlier this year, the company also extended its relationship with the University of Hawaii to include campus dining. With the addition of the University of Kansas, Centerplate now partners with 18 universities.
