Centerplate has named Cathy Green vice president of its Fifth Dining subsidiary, which serves as the food and beverage partner to Saks Fifth Avenue. Green has more than 15 years of direct operational oversight of food and beverage at the Saks flagship store in New York, where she previously served as food and beverage director before expanding her role to assist in the launch of Sophie's at Saks Fifth Avenue, the new fine dining restaurant concept named in honor of Saks icon Sophie Gimbel.

Green's experience in fine dining and hospitality also includes strategic and operational leadership with many high-profile food and beverage brands such as The George Lang Corp., Trump Taj Mahal, The Bostonian Hotel, Iron Horse Ranch & Vineyards and Disneyland Paris.

Fifth Dining recently launched Sophie's at Saks Fifth Avenue in Chicago and Sarasota, with another planned opening in Puerto Rico in 2015.

"We are fortunate to have someone as experienced, effective and dynamic as Cathy on board to help guide our Fifth Dining team, and I look forward to the contributions she will make as Vice President," says Centerplate President/CEO Chris Verros.
