Brian Stapleton has been named corporate executive chef for Aramark’s Sports & Entertainment unit. In his new position, he will oversee culinary operations and menu development for the company’s stadium, arena, convention center, concert venue, park and other entertainment venues.

Stapleton had been one of five regional executive chefs for the unit. A new organization structure realigns the regional executive chefs into four new geographic territories.

Stapleton joined Aramark in 2002 as executive chef/F&B director at the company’s Carolina Crossroads operation. A graduate of the California Culinary Academy and ProChef III certified by the CIA, the Institute’s highest level of ProChef certification, he previously worked with Sheraton and Ritz Carlton in some of their high-end properties before moving to North Carolina to take over as executive chef/F&B director at Il Palio, one of the most popular fine dining venues in the Research Triangle area.

“Brian’s leadership and creativity exemplify the culinary talent we have working throughout our business,” says Jack O’Brien, president of Aramark Convention Centers and Sports & Entertainment Support Services. “His training, award-winning background and hands-on approach will benefit our culinary team, as well as our clients and the 60 million guests we serve annually.”
