Aramark has named Ron Mesaros vice president of facility services for its Higher Education unit. In this newly created role, Mesaros is responsible for the company’s Higher Education Facilities business in the U.S., including facilities operations, energy management services, capital project management, building commissioning, and strategic technical and planning services.

An 11-year veteran of the company, Mesaros most recently served as associate vice president of technical services, a unit he helped grow to encompass almost 200 professional engineers, certified energy managers, LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) accredited professionals, certified commissioning professionals, construction managers, and other experts in buildings systems and operation.

“We are excited about the continued growth of our technical capabilities, which allows us to provide valuable services to our college and university partners,” says Michael Leone, senior vice president of Aramark Higher Education. “We are confident that Ron’s vast experience and commitment to operational and technical excellence will yield measurable outcomes for our Facility Service clients and customers.”

As part of the expansion of the business, Aramark Higher Education has broadened its portfolio of service capabilities to include greenhouse gas inventories, climate action planning, LEED building certification services, building system retro-commissioning, facility needs assessments and other energy and sustainability planning services.
