Aramark has won a one-year contract to manage the dining program for Scranton (PA) School District, reports the Scranton Times-Tribune. In its final bid, Aramark offered a guarateed return to the district of $626,000, beating the final offer of current contract holder Nutrition Group by almost $50,000. The contract offer was automatically extended to Aramark because the district school board had earlier voted to award the contract to the company that guaranteed the higher return in its final offer.
