Aramark crowns KC ribeye best baseball food

July 15—The Kansas City Royals’ Kauffman Stadium’s KC ribeye stack was voted the fans favorite item during Aramark’s Dueling BBQ contest, which was held during during the 2010 All-Star Game at Angels Stadium in Anaheim, Calif.

The ribeye was one of 12 signature menu items picked to represent each of Aramark’s Major League Baseball ballparks. The competition ran the duration of MLB’s All-Star weekend. The dish is a seasoned ribeye with cheddar cheese, bacon, sautéed mushrooms, onion rings, barbecue sauce, lettuce, tomato and pickle on a potato bun. It was prepared by Kauffman Stadium Executive Chef Dustin Miller. The other items in the competition were:

PNC Park, Pittsburgh: Pittsburgh-style Pastrami Sandwich
Rogers Centre, Toronto: Old Canadian Whiskey Smoked BBQ Beef Ribs
