Aug. 30—Dining services at Mississippi State University, which is managed by Aramark, has been named Employer of the Year by the Rehabilitation Association of Mississippi.
The Employer of the Year award is selected by board members to be given to the individual, firm or group of employers who go above and beyond what is required by law in promoting employment for persons with disabilities.
The award honors Aramark’s commitment to promoting employment for persons with disabilities, which was achieved in partnership with the Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Services’ AbilityWorks program. AbilityWorks works with companies such as Aramark to assist the disabled with employment.
"Our partnership with AbilityWorks has been an outstanding success," Jason Nall, resident district manager for Aramark, said in a press release. "We're proud of the results and are committed to helping our Starkville community thrive."
