Aramark and IFMA publish sustainable practice guide
January 6, 2010
Jan. 6—Aramark and the International Faculty Management Association (IFMA) Foundation recently partnered to release Sustainability in the Food Service Environment, a practical guide for introducing and advancing sustainable practices within foodservices.
The guide is the third released as part of IFMA’s Sustainability “How-to” Guide Series. The free guide provides an overview of key sustainability areas in the foodservice environment such as building a business case for sustainability, procurement, green building, energy management and waste stream management. The guide also includes several case studies that offer insight into effective sustainability approaches.
“Aramark has been a valued corporate sustaining partner of IFMA for a number of years, and we are delighted that they’ve decided to share their extensive knowledge about the food industry with our membership,” said Will Rub, IFMA Foundation executive director.
Information for the guide was gathered from a cross section of Aramark foodservice operators. To get a copy of the Sustainability in the Food Service Environment guide, visit ifmafoundation.org or aramark.com/ServicesandIndustries/CaseStudies/.
