Stanford University Dining has hired its first-ever full-time nutritionist, reports the Stanford Daily. Elaine Magee, who will serve the department as a wellness nutritionist charged with bringing a "more holistic view of nutrition and health in the dining experience," previously worked as a nutrition expert and writer for WebMD.com.

She has written more than 25 books on nutrition as well as a national column in which she modified recipes to make them healthier. With Stanford Dining, Magee will consult with the campus chefs on menus, organize outreach with campus wellness programs, work directly with students and write about nutrition on the dining department's Facebook and Twitter pages.
