June 11—North Dakota schools are already trying to implement the new school meal pattern and to help in that endeavor the North Dakota School Nutrition Association held a conference in Bismark to learn about the new rules.

"School cooks from every corner in the state are learning about the new rules and yesterday we had food shows where they tried some whole grain products and some of the trans-free products, some dark orange and dark green fruits and vegetables," said Deb Egeland with the North Dakota School Nutrition Association.
