Uber Tuber Smoothie
Chef Leif Eric Benson

Millennials continue to be major smoothie purchasers, but they are constantly constantly seeking novel blends and nutritious ingredients. This colorful trio of smoothies delivers on both demands. Turmeric is on trend for its anti-inflammatory properties and easy to add to a smoothie, while incorporating a potato product adds texture and nutrients.

Ingredients

Original flavor base
1 qt. vanilla almond milk
2 cups potato flakes
1 tbsp. vanilla extract
2/3 cup blue agave syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
3 cups ice

Flavor additions
Mango, coconut, almond, ginger, carrot, salted caramel, pineapple, peanut butter, coffee, chocolate, blueberry, mint, green tea, lime, cayenne, protein powder

Steps

1. In a blender, add almond milk and potato flakes. Blend until smooth and potato flakes have thickened the mixture.

2. Add vanilla, agave and salt. Add ice and blend until smooth.

3. Adjust to desired consistency with liquids such as coconut water or juices, or additional flavors. Serve immediately.
